Office Deployment Tool

  1. Open install shortcut for officedeployment tool
  2. Open this pc, local disk C
  3. Make a new folder (office Installer)
  4. Open command prompt and run as administrator
    1. cd \officeinstaller
    2. dir
  5. Search (chrome) config.office.com/deploymentsettings
    1. product: whats on the invoice
    2. language: english/spanish
    3. Installation: click Office Content Delivery Network, show installation to user
    4. Click Export, Office Open XML formats
    5. Filename: configuration
    6. Click Download
  6. Copy file to c:\officeinstaller
    1. Open file explorer to Downloads
    2. right click on configuration.xml and select copy
    3. Go to Localdisk C: folder officeinstaller
    4. right click and select paste
  7. Remove all existing versions of Office
  8. Open either cmd or powershell as administrator
    1. cd c:\officeinstaller
    2. setup /download configuration.xml
      1. download will start, and take a long time (15-20 minutes)
    3. setup /configure configuration.xml
  9. Start the download
