Read AP7940 PDU from script

The AP7940 from American Power Conversion (<https://www.apc.com>) is an older unit with limited ability to automatically read the values. I came up with a set of Perl scripts which will do this.

It is definitely a hack. The first thing you must do is set up an sftp server and tell the AP7940 to write the log files to that location (defined as $logdir in this script).

Reconfigure APC 7940

The 7940 and 7941 are the 20 and 30 amp versions of an older 208 volt Power Distribution Unit. They are capable of being controlled through an ssh or telnet session. The UI is very primitive, but usable.

You can use a local computer, a computer that connects to the Rack PDU or other device through the serial port, to access the control console.
